Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to all discin.app services, including the main application (discin.app) and all associated tools (putting.discin.app, flexion.discin.app, throws.discin.app, maps.discin.app, and discle.discin.app). Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information.
It also covers the Discin and Discle apps for iOS. Discin and Discle share one account: signing in to either uses the same login, and deleting it deletes it everywhere.
Information We Collect
Account Information
On the web (discin.app and discle.discin.app) you sign in with Google. The Discin and Discle iOS apps also offer Sign in with Apple and sign-in with an email address and password. Accounts are managed by Supabase Auth. When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address and an account ID
- Profile information (name, username, avatar, and anything optional you add, such as a bio or location)
- With Sign in with Apple: your email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide it). Discin also asks Apple for your name; Discle asks for your email only.
- With email and password: your password is stored only as a secure hash by Supabase Auth. We never see it.
- With Google: your email address, name and profile picture, as shared by Google
Content and Usage Data
We collect information you provide when using our services:
- Disc collection data (disc brands, molds, plastics, and custom notes)
- Bag configurations and setups
- Showcase creations and community contributions
- Practice session data (putting, stretching, throws, course maps)
- Discle game data (see the Discle section below)
- User preferences and settings
Push Notifications (Discin iOS)
If you allow notifications in the Discin iOS app, we store your device's push token with your account so we can send the notifications you have turned on, such as disc transfers. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
Automatically Collected Information
- Page views on discin.app and discle.discin.app, through Vercel Web Analytics: the page visited, the referring page, and your country, browser, operating system and device type. It uses no cookies and does not track you across other websites.
- Standard server request logs (such as IP address and time of request) kept by our hosting and database providers to run and secure the service
The Discin and Discle iOS apps contain no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software.
Discle
Discle, the daily disc-guessing game at discle.discin.app and on iOS, can be played signed in or signed out.
Playing Signed Out
- On the web, your game history, stats and settings are kept in your browser's local storage. On iOS, your history and settings are kept on your device.
- Each finished game sends us an anonymous record: the game mode, whether you won, the number of guesses, whether hard mode was on, the puzzle number, and the discs you guessed. It carries no account, device or other identifier.
- Because these records have no identifier, they cannot be linked to you, and so they cannot be found or deleted on request.
Playing Signed In
Discle uses your Discin account. When you are signed in, we store:
- Your email address and account ID
- Your shared Discin profile (username and avatar)
- Your game history, stats, and completed games, including the discs you guessed
- Your friendships, rounds, reactions, and Minis
- When you were last active in each app
What Other Players See
- Friends you have accepted see your username, avatar, daily result, the discs you guessed, whether you played in hard mode, your streak and stats, and your reactions
- Members of a round you join see the round's scorecards
Streak Reminder (iOS)
The Discle iOS streak reminder is a local notification scheduled on your phone. It uses no push service and no device token, and nothing about it leaves your device.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our services
- Personalize your experience and recommendations
- Understand aggregate usage (page views and anonymous game records) to improve our apps
- Communicate important updates and features
- Ensure security and prevent fraud
- Aggregate anonymous data for community statistics
Data Sharing and Disclosure
Public Information
By default, the following information may be visible to other users:
- Public profile information (username, avatar)
- Publicly shared collections, bags, and showcases
- Community contributions and statistics
- Discle results and stats, to friends you have accepted (see the Discle section above)
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Database and authentication services
- Google: Sign in with Google
- Apple: Sign in with Apple, and delivery of Discin iOS push notifications
- Vercel: Hosting, and Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless page-view counts)
- Resend: Sending account emails, such as your welcome email
We Do Not
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share your data with advertisers
- Use your data for purposes other than stated in this policy
Data Storage and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
- Authentication handled by Supabase Auth; passwords are stored only as secure hashes
- Database access rules, so your private data can only be read and changed by your own account
- Access controls and monitoring
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and Vercel. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update or correct your information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Export: Download your data in a portable format
- Privacy Settings: Control what information is public or private
To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@discin.app
Deleting Your Account
Discin and Discle share one account, so deleting it from either app deletes it everywhere: your profile, your Discin data and your Discle history, stats, friendships and rounds.
- Discin for iOS: More → Preferences → Delete Account
- Discle for iOS: Settings → Account → Delete Account
- On the web: discin.app and discle.discin.app do not yet have a delete button. Email support@discin.app from the address you sign in with and we will delete your account.
Anonymous Discle game records cannot be deleted on request, because nothing in them identifies you.
Cookies and Tracking
The only cookie we set is the sign-in session cookie that keeps you logged in. We also use your browser's local storage to remember your preferences (such as theme) and, on Discle, your signed-out game history.
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.
You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies will sign you out.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Posting the updated policy on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending email notifications for material changes
Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
